Emma Nash – Faith Development Worker

Since 2004 Emma has been helping churches to serve their communities in lots of different ways. And now she's helping Shared Space.

Location: Shared Space, all sites.
Hobby: Reading and writing, crochet, and trawling charity shops.
Working Days: Various working days.

I spent a year volunteering at Shared Space right back at the start, when it was a new charity and it’s great to be back.

    Why did you get involved?

I had some extra time and wanted to do something practical and creative in community transformation, and I love the Shared Space values. It’s great not to be sitting at a screen all day.

    What do you do?

Getting to know volunteers, helping out in the shops, and experimenting with events and gatherings for volunteers. I’m keen to see more people more deeply living life to the full, and those who are curious exploring faith.

What is a hi-light of your role?

Spending time with the volunteers, who are such a diverse mix of brilliant people.

Any hopes for the future for Shared Space?

Volunteers growing in confidence and community going deeper. More Shared Space shops!

Emma says, “Don’t buy new! Come and support the work of Shared Space.”
