Location: Shared Space Westcliff
Experience: In my other role I lead the local BSL school, Sign Away BSL.
Hobby: Woodturning, walks with my labrador Cumin and cooking
Working Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Why did you get involved?
I had previous experience working in process transformation for other charities and leading the local BSL school (Sign Away BSL). I wanted to be part of something that makes a real difference locally through sustained change. Shared Space felt like the right place to put my skills to good use while being part of a community that really cares about everyone.
What do you do for Shared Space?
I’m the Data and Process Transformation Lead – which is a fancy way of saying I design systems to reduce the load for our staff. Basically – I take the faff out of admin so the team can spend more time on the things that matter most.
What’s a highlight of your role?
I love those moments when I manage the implementation of a new system to make life easier for people. It’s brilliant seeing how that helps people focus on being creative and connecting with others, staying true to our original mission.
Any hopes for the future of Shared Space?
I’d love to see Shared Space keep growing as a welcoming hub where people feel at home. For my part, I want to keep building systems that support that growth and new initiatives so Shared Space can keep being awesome.
