Over thirty volunteers have become the community heart of Shared Space Westcliff and they are making a difference in the town.

The Christian faith of Church from Scratch is being lived out through the life of the shop. Volunteers have started going to the home-based groups run by Church from Scratch, but there is no opportunity to explore faith in the shop during opening hours.  Some of the volunteers are asking about the faith which has motivated Christians to set up Shared Space.

So a weekly meeting starts where people can eat, talk, pray, and learn from the the life of Jesus. Who is he? Why does the way he lived 2000 years ago feel so relevant today? The volunteers name the meeting, “Life and Faith Group”.  This leads on to some of them being baptised as Christians.
