As promised, here are the details for our workshops during Love Our Planet Week at Shared Space! 🌍✨
Join us for a week of fun, learning, and sharing eco-friendly tips & tricks. Here’s how you can get involved:
🪡 Mend, Repair & Rewear
Bring along your favourite clothes in need of a little TLC! These are drop-in sessions, no booking required, just turn up and learn simple repair techniques to keep your wardrobe in rotation.
📍 Westcliff (SS0 9LG): Tue 20th Oct, 10am–12pm
📍 Southchurch (SS1 2PN): Thu 22nd Oct, 1pm–3pm
🌿 Recycling Wreath
Create something beautiful while giving materials a new life! Spaces for this workshop are limited, but everyone is welcome to pop in, see what it`s all about, and soak up the creative atmosphere.

🌍 Love Our Planet Week is coming! (19–25 October 2026) 💚
At Shared Space, we`re using this week to focus on how we can all show a little extra care for our environment and make a real difference in our day-to-day lives.
Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing practical tips, simple eco-swaps, and helpful hints on how small actions like repairing clothes, reducing waste, and choosing sustainable habits can add up to big change.
We’ve got a fantastic lineup of in-store events, workshops, and drop-in sessions coming up at both our Southchurch and Westcliff shops. Keep an eye out. Shared Space will be hosting a friendly Meet the Funder session in partnership with SAVS about the relaunched Shared Space Boost Fund Grant Programme on the 27th January at 11am.
The session explains how 30 grants of up to £450 are available each year to empower grassroots community ideas and community-led action in Southend. Smaller charities and voluntary organisations are especially encouraged to attend the short session and apply!
Attendees will learn what the fund can support, who is eligible to apply, and receive top tips on how to make a successful application, with plenty of time for questions.
